Frequently Asked Questions
Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PLAY SURCH?
A: There are multiple Photo Races available to play including a version that is completely free. If you build a race yourself, there is no cost to build the Race or to play it.
If you want to play the Prize Race, the first VUE is free, and each VUE after that costs 5 SURCH coins. If you need help finding the VUEs, CLUES cost 1 SURCH coin each. Coins cost $.99 each if you buy them one at a time. But you can buy more for less. The best way to play the Prize Race is to get the $19.99 package deal which will be enough coins for all the VUES and CLUES. So for less than the price of a movie and popcorn, you can have more fun and possibly win a lot of money.
Q: WHAT IS A RACE WINDOW?
A: A Race Window is the amount of time a race is open for SURCHERS to play. For example, a race might start on Friday at 12:00 Noon and end on Sunday at 6:00. That span of time is the Race Window, and players can SURCH as many times as they want during that time.
Q: CAN I PAUSE MY TIMER DURING A RACE?
A: No. But if you aren’t able to finish a race, you may quit the race at any time by pressing the red “X” button at the bottom of the VUE screen.
Q: WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE THEME SONG?
A: You can only hear the song through the app! If you play SURCH long enough though, the song will get stuck in your head and you’ll have it with you wherever you go.
Q: WHY DON’T I SEE THE FIRST VUE WHEN I PRESS THE START BUTTON?
A: The Race hasn’t started yet! As soon as the race starts, the arrow button in front of your Race in the Race list will turn green to let you know the Race Window is open.
Q: WHY ISN’T THERE A PRIZE RACE ON MY PHOTO RACE LIST?
A: Unless the current Prize Race is within 250 miles of your location, it will not show up on your Photo Races list. But keep checking back. We plan to dominate the U.S. with Prize Races in every major city soon! Then on to greater frontiers. #surchthemoon.
Q: HOW ARE THE PICTURES VERIFIED?
A: The SURCH app uses GPS technology to verify that SURCHERS are in the right place. For prize games, all pictures of potential winners are human-verified to ensure the correct pictures were taken.
